CATCH THE ACE - RULES OF PLAY 

1) Eligibility 

a) Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older

b) Tickets must be purchased, issued, and paid for within Alberta. Purchasers must be physically located in Alberta at the time of purchase. 

c) The following persons are not eligible to purchase tickets or win prizes: • Members of the Rotary Club of Lethbridge Board of Directors 

• Members of the Rotary Club of Lethbridge Catch the Ace Raffle Committee 

• Immediate family members residing in the same household as the Catch the Ace Raffle Committee members making the weekly draws 

• Employees or agents of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to the raffle 

2) Ticket Sales 

a) Tickets are available online only at www.RaceToAce.ca using Ascend Fundraising Solutions’ secure platform and a secure PCI compliant payment processor. 

b) Ticket prices and quantities: • 3 tickets for $5 (600,000 tickets) 

• 10 tickets for $10 (500,000 tickets) 

• 40 tickets for $20 (1,000,000 tickets) 

• Total number of tickets available: 2,100,000 

c) Sales start date: December 15, 2025 (or as approved by Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC)). 

d) Ticket sales for each weekly draw open Monday at 2:00 p.m. and close the following Monday at 9:00 a.m

e) The Catch the Ace game continues with the same deck of cards until the Ace of Spades is drawn. Once the Ace of Spades is drawn, the raffle is concluded. 

f) Tickets can be purchased online at www.RaceToAce.ca 

g) Tickets are delivered by email only. It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to ensure that they received their tickets; however, purchasers do not need their tickets in hand to be included in the draws. h) All ticket sales once issued are final and non-refundable.

a) Weekly draws will be held every Monday at 12:00 p.m. beginning December 22, 2025 (or as approved by AGLC) at: Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge, 320 Scenic Drive S, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 4X6. The draw will be open to the public. • Draw dates in December 2025: Dec 22, Dec 29

b) Ticket holders do not have to be present at the draws in order to win or to claim their prize. 

c) A single ticket number will be selected each week by the Random number Generator (RNG), from all raffle ticket numbers sold during the week leading up to the draw. 

d) If power outage or internet outage occurs on the draw date, the draw will take place on the next business day

e) Entry deadline: 9:00 a.m. on draw day. Ticket sales reopen at 2:00 p.m. on the draw date for the next week’s draw. 

f) Prize structure: • Weekly Prize: 20% of that week’s ticket sales. 

Progressive Jackpot: 30% of all ticket sales accumulated over all weeks until the Ace of Spades is drawn. 

Rotary Club of Lethbridge Proceeds: 50% of all ticket sales will be retained by the Rotary Club of Lethbridge for AGLC-approved charitable purposes. 

g) On draw date, a single winning ticket number will be announced verbally to those in attendance and displayed visually. If the winner is not present within 10 minutes, then the designated charity proxy in attendance will draw a card on their behalf. An email will be sent to the winner to advise them of the draw results. 

h) If the winner is not present, the designated proxy, namely Nancy Walker, Joanna Kappel, or Lynda Kavanagh, will draw a card from the deck for the winner. The designated proxy who is involved in cutting the deck is not eligible to purchase tickets. 

i) The week’s winning ticket holder will automatically win the weekly prize which will be equal to 20% of the gross revenue of the week’s ticket sales. 

j) If the Ace of Spades is revealed, the winner receives the Weekly Prize + the Progressive Jackpot, and the raffle concludes. 

k) If another card is revealed, 30% of that week’s ticket sales are added to the Progressive Jackpot, and the next week’s draw continues. 

l) The winning ticket number will also be posted online to www.RaceToAce.ca following each weekly draw, along with the weekly prize amount and the revealed card associated with the weekly winning ticket. 

4) Winner Notification and Prize Claiming 

a) Winning ticket numbers, prize amounts, and revealed cards will be posted after each draw at www.RaceToAce.ca 

b) Winners will also be contacted directly by email and/or phone. 

c) Winners are not required to be present at the draw to win.

d) Winners must provide their full name, address, email address, and phone number for prize distribution and AGLC reporting. 

e) Winners must provide government identification to confirm their identity for prize distribution. 

f) If more than one name is written on a winning ticket stub, the prize will be awarded to only one of the individuals named on the ticket stub. Neither the licensed charity nor AGLC is responsible for any disputes among the individuals whose names are written on the ticket stub. 

g) The Rotary Club of Lethbridge will pay weekly draw and jackpot prizes by cheque. Payment will be presented in person or delivered via courier. 

h) Unclaimed prizes: If a prize remains unclaimed after three (3) months from the date of the draw, the Rotary Club of Lethbridge will request AGLC approval to allocate the prize to the charity’s approved use of proceeds. Unclaimed includes the following: prize cheque not cashed, invalid email address or phone number and/or winner cannot be reached by reasonable means. 

5) Draw Oversight 

a) Each draw will be open to the public and overseen by two executive members (or delegates) of the Rotary Club of Lethbridge. 

b) All draws and procedures will comply with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act, its associated Regulations, and AGLC Terms and Conditions for Raffles. 

6) Privacy and Publicity 

a) By purchasing a ticket, the purchaser consents to the publication of their first name, initial of last name, city, photo and prize information if they are a winner. 

b) The Rotary Club of Lethbridge and/or its agents may use the winner’s name, photo, and statements for promotional purposes without additional compensation. 

c) Personal information is collected under AGLC authority and used only for the operation of this raffle and promotion of future raffles. The Rotary Club of Lethbridge does not sell or trade personal information. 

7) Disputes and Liability 

a) All raffle transactions are processed and recorded by AscendFS Canada Ltd. In case of discrepancy, AscendFS records are deemed final. 

b) The Rotary Club of Lethbridge is responsible for the conduct and management of the raffle.

c) The liability of the licensee is limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
